Flash floods have swept through La-ngu District, Satun, prompting an urgent evacuation alert for residents and travellers in the area. The Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) issued the warning on Tuesday (November 25) after continuous heavy rainfall caused water levels to rise rapidly.

The Romsai Rescue Foundation reported that floodwaters surged quickly, creating hazardous conditions for communities and making some roads difficult to access. Authorities are urging everyone in affected zones to prepare essential belongings, secure important documents, and follow evacuation instructions immediately.

Travellers currently in La-ngu or moving through Satun Province should stay updated on local announcements, as conditions may change quickly. Those requiring urgent help, including support for elderly or bedridden individuals, can contact the 24-hour emergency hotline at 1163.

To support affected communities, the foundation has opened a disaster relief coordination centre and is calling for donations of essential supplies such as drinking water, ready-to-eat meals, daily necessities, cleaning products, and medical items. Donations can be dropped off at Sairat Wittaya School, Mueang District, Satun. For coordination or updates, call 062-0614234 or visit the Romsai Rescue Foundation’s Facebook page.
